Some people have a 2 to 3 hour commute into the office each way even using public transportation. These groups primarily work with virginia people. They're definitely trying to get people to quit by forcing them into 5 hour round trip commutes to slack and zoom.

I went into a satellite office and it was depressing with open floor seating crammed in a building corner. They want people to work in office and shouting over one another on zoom. Disgusting.
So if you work with teams in different time zones than yours. You simply avoid early or late meetings and respond the following day no big deal. Capone is doing this force employees to quit without severance or unemployment benefits. So you muck it up for Capone. Get it now?
If junior employees have to commute to work and spend 3 to 4 hours in traffic and are labelled as people who made bad decisions then what about Directors and above that C1 has hired at west coast and continue to work remotely, why they are not asked to move to cities that have C1 offices. HAVE ONE RULE FOR EVERYONE
Easily resolution. Work less and don't do early meetings. For the last poster working remote allowed teams to begin work earlier and work later to finish on projects. With no flexibility any effort to compensate for a long commute is pointless and teams should kick the can down the road. Because everyone at capone will now.
It sounds like some people made some very bad decisions for housing if they have 3-5 hour roundtrip in to work. This one does not sound like a Capital One problem, more like a poor decision making skills. We all knew that thankfully, the covid epidemic was not going to last forever. Nobody is making these unhappy people stay in their job at Capital One. Reading through all of these posts on various topics, it sounds like most people feel they are entitled to have a job at Capital One and it has to be on their terms. Folks, this is not reality. Seriously, just move on to a better future.
