Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Oracle has deep insight to the ages and locations of their current employee base

They know exactly how many in what business unit in what location will trigger any state labor board notification. Management has not acknowledged many of the layoffs from the past for very specific reasons. In rare cases over the past 15 years has there been accurate and responsible reporting of layoff events. I personally was targeted in 2022, and other than my communication with HR and the infamous exit team, there was not any publicly or internally generated announcement. One basically finds out with phone calls to friends or team co-workers. Sad.

Good info from @1ylc+1lN0FFja.

There is no formal requirement to announce layoffs publicly unless required by law ?Why this is a problem ?
