Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Mid level manager

Do any of you working in mid level management have any real work?

My life is great but given the economic downturn and not having any real work to do makes me nervous. I am with Humana for 5yrs so used to with laid back culture and politics. Should I hire more people who can back me up?

You all can share ideas on how you keep yourself busy

Let’s be real. It is what it is. AD don’t have much work to do. They survive on unnecessary hierarchy. I am in AD role for last 2 years and soon be getting promoted to director.

Your work is to keep helping your team to move forward and promote them. Most AD keep promoting people working under him to reach next level.

What’s point staying a job that makes you nervous and probably miserable? Why don’t you resign and let a deserving candidate get that job?
