Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Should have sc--wed pff

I got the same bonus as a deadbeat performance issue. So much for sticking it out until the end to help out as opposed to disappearing - LRd because of position elimination may as well have said everyone was a performance issue. Csco su-ks from chuck down to sr directorship.

You really want to sc--w up where you cost the company tens of millions of dollars in a single bad decision then claim you met the schedule even when the product doesn't do anything the project was supposed to accomplish. It was a guaranteed promotion for many. On the other hand if you take the time to come up with a lasting fix to a major failing you will be on the next LR/PIP list.

This is what happens when schedule is the sole metric.

@bv

Bootlickers aren't equipped to understand concepts like "cause and effect". Folks like @OP operate at a much more basic level...

soooo:

  1. you made an assumption about your performance vs your nemesis
  2. you assumed that your Mgr noticed and agreed
  3. you decided to ask your nemesis what his/her bonus was
  4. you concluded that cisco leadership su-ks because of your assumptions and discussing $ with your nemesis
  5. You failed to understand that perhaps your mgr is suggesting that you are also a 'performance issue'

Given the above, seems your manager is probably right, but we're all the hero in our own story, right?
