Tell me there are multiple Indian managers making hiring decisions without saying there are multiple Indian managers making hiring decisions.

At least two of the Irving hires were already Citi employees working in India and wanted to emigrate to America.
The job reqs were created and advertised internally and externally, but only for optics.
The job spec was written exactly as their job descriptions.

It still had to go through the formality of having a (softball) interview carried out by someone in the branch.

You can cry foul, but the people who hired them in Irving will say the candidates already had a proven track record, worked long hours, worked well with their colleagues and delivered results.

A lot of the leadership team in Irving made the same jump and come over from India many years back.

It's not entirely wrong and it's not entirely right. It does feed the problem of massive institutional bias in Citi where people hire from their own homeland without a second thought. It's another accelerator in the momentum of internal affinity.

Because all other values are six-figure amounts, the main annual-wage statistics below exclude this one value rather than guessing its unit. If it is an hourly rate, $79/hour would equal about $164,320 per year at 2,080 hours.

Across the 349 annual-looking records, the mean Wage From is $160,375, the median is $156,998, and the middle 50% lies between $150,000 and $166,000.
