Huge problem with project assigned employees who are not part of the GP family. GP used them to fill the bottom of the rank group. HR has seen data and does nothing to stop it. Avoid project assignments at all costs if you value your ranking.

This is a known problem that has not been addressed for years. It would be easy enough to make rank groups based on roles. Why not do it this way? Because ranking follows role. Sole roles are a death sentence no matter how well you perform in them.
Why are the posts about a certain GP VP (runs CPM) continue to be deleted on this site. Even when Just his initials are used. Presume EM/HR is pushing the site to delete things

Hey even if you’re in GP there is a lot of bias against you. Unless POT38+ (or now a Career Objective of Senior Executive/Corporate leader or whatever it is called)
Also (to Hr reading this), just because someone made it to VP doesn’t mean they have capability to assess people appropriately.
