Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Salary Increase

I know this is linked to performance, but what should we expected this year given the decent commodity prices and profit?

Appreciate any insights.

They will pay the minimum amount possible to maintain what they see as acceptable attrition levels. Note that they are likely also having to increase starting salaries to get people to accept so the new people sitting next to you may make more than you do. I know this is happening in reservoir with new hires making more than employees who have been here for years.

Salaries / salary curves have not kept up with inflation since Covid. Even if you are Excellent or Outstanding performance.

It's all tied to external salary surveys and market benchmarks. Doesn't get better just cause the share price is doing well or company is making more $.

There's also a big push to reduce higher CL roles, so expect fewer promotions this year than prior years.

Rule #1 just because the company is making money doesn’t mean they will share it with you. Go to a company that has bonuses. Only executives benefit from high oil prices.

Here Bhutan the ngultrun has dropped least 20% of more the last two years. I expecting at least 8% for living costs. Minimums. Thank you.
