There is not, has never been, and never will be, any semblance of 'duration' as a condition of promotion. If you ever think you're 'due' because of time, you really don't understand how promo's work, which entirely explains why you're not getting one.

Remind me, you are a rock-star like everyone else here. I never read her of anyone claiming they are not a rock-star.
It's difficult to stand out in a company full of rock-stars. Too bad.
You don't just get a promotion. You get one either because you are a rockstar or because you have steadily climbed to the edge of your grade salary band. So you are likely consider something about less than a rock star and are still squarely in your pay band.
Simple solution. Just Leave the group asap. No need to leave cisco.
No Promotion for 10+ years here. Its common in Cisco. When i look back, i wasted my time here. Worked hard, performance data is available, but was probably "not aligned/capable" as per two directors, and "aligned/capable" as per two directors.
Human connect with manager, sr manager, director, sr director, as applicable is what counts. Data is only seen by two levels, with those two minds influenced by many factors.
Are you shooting for Technical Leader 77 or Principal Engineer 43?
