I am not familar enough with Enron to be able to say if the same issue is happening at Fiserv. I would compare it more to Apple in the early to mid 90's: Unable to execute, unable to get ANYTHING done, a CEO who does not understand.

Absolutely! Directors and up did not get raises. We get equity in the Titanic and it takes 3 years to see our merit for last year. This place is getting ridic. We lose if we leave, and we lose if we stay.

Unless the job market is incredibly good, it's never a blessing to be laid off. I don't care how may weeks of severance you might miss out on, land yourself a new job and get the frick out on your own terms. Maybe it'll work out. Maybe not.

Back in the CheckFree days, I worked with a lady who really only did so to "keep herself busy". Her husband made goodness knows how much and had just bought her an ice cream shop to "manage". The day she decided she was going to give notice, they pulled her into HR and told her she was being RIFed. Here's your severance. She laughed all the way out the door.

Most of us aren't that lucky.

Why do you think that OP?

(Not disagreeing but intrigued as to why others also think this)

Yup.

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise to be laid off. Do you really want to work at a place for years and not value your loyalty and your hard work?
