I was genuinely happy to see that we are finally building a GCC for a bank—something we have all been looking forward to. However, as we have moved into execution, it increasingly feels like a single-person agenda. It no longer feels like a Truist GCC; it feels like a “T-GCC.”
The leadership style has been non-collaborative, with a lack of maturity and, at times, an abrasive communication style. There seems to be a strong personal agenda to maintain 100% control, creating significant friction and politics very early in what should be a long-term strategic capability.
I have always had great respect for SA, but I feel he has placed too much control with T. I am not sure whether he—or others involved—fully recognize how much friction and a negative culture have already been created.
We are already behind on this initiative, and I am concerned the current direction is taking us further away from where we need to be. I am becoming skeptical about moving my function into the GCC because I genuinely question whether it will help us achieve what we intended.
It is also surprising that HR, Risk, GSD… are allowing this to continue. what is our GCC partner doing about it ?
What we seed today will grow within the GCC. If we continue to seed friction, politics, and a lack of collaboration, that is the culture we will ultimately build.

@a7 this is spam posting as no one who is involved would post this
@g4 Diplomas? Are they planning on replacing onshore managers with offshore managers?
What is going on? Lol
@g3 From what I heard the original plan was to already have American replacements up and running by the end of this year, but they're way behind. We have found many of our counterparts lied about their experience. And yes, fake diplomas purchased. Very few of them have actual experience. A few of the new hires have already been let go it's so bad.
When I first heard the news about BR's departure, my first thought was how far behind the GCC initiative is and it might be the reason he was fired. But who knows, just a guess.
@fs yes that would be the Global Capabiliy Center, which was put into motion by that [too many expletives to type] Well Fargo alum SH. They’re going to shift a bunch of jobs to people with fake diplomas and an area rife with risk of client data theft - all in the name of cutting costs and a vision of “Follow-the-Sun” work cycles.
@b2 are you referring to the GCC run thru Infosys in Hyderabad? It appears there are many open positions in India right now. American layoffs are on the way while the GCC replaces US jobs & all operations and Truist will be run from the GCC in Hyderabad by the end of the year.
@a7 I agree. Enough with the acronyms and philosophy lessons.
@ag correct. They wanted most of the American workers gone by now and that didn't happen. GCC is a disaster. Cheaper? Not really. Quality? Garbage. Culture? SHADY AF. And it's only going to get worse as they integrate more of this foreign entity into an already messy culture.
@a7 December.
I'm not OP, but that is the most predictable time for it.
I don't think the forced attrition was as effective as they liked with RTO lol
spam posting is out of control. given similarities in the posts, seems like its one person. so, person, please for the love of god, stop. do you have something to share related to layoffs? feel free to post that here on the layoff.com
