Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Don't Fill Out the Corporate Survey

It's reasonably safe to assume that if you are on this site you are concerned about the possibility of losing your job in a layoff and judging by many of the comments you are also dissatisfied with working at NetApp. One thing I would offer is to send a message to the leaders of the company by NOT completing the employee survey. That sends the message that you are disenfranchised and don't care - which is a bigger concern than complaints around "barriers to execution" or the Thrive Together policy. BTW - has anything really ever changed as a result of these surveys?? F'em.

The surveys are not anonymous. An anonymous survey would not be coded to your user.

No meaningful results. Totally agree.

No action is still an action. I don’t think that is the benefit in this situation.

Do they know who made the comments? Given that team sizes have strunk, it’s probably not hard to figure out who made the comments by your direct manager, but hopefully they are on your side and the opinions you voice are beyond their control. In that situation, they appreciate the additional voice in the choir.

My understanding is top leadership does receive final results and comments. The voice is there whether they choose to listen or not.

Some topics like hybrid / in office work are not on the questions this year. That sends a message.

In summary - do respond. It does matter. Be smart about your comments.
