Thread regarding Canon Inc. layoffs

@ee while I mostly agree that things took a sharp turn post merger, there are still plenty of rats in the CSA ship willing to cozy up to upper management and throw their coworkers under the bus.

The environment was much better when CSA was a subsidiary before getting acquired by CUSA. It was a positive work environment and profitable. Main reason it was acquired was one of the key players (PK) sold the workforce out to advance his career with Sammy. And CUSA wanted CSA because it represented a cash cow. Look what got the company? Mass layoffs, hostile workplace because people at the top are obsessed with metrics. Ethical boundaries are crossed every single day and management looks the other way. Surprise PIPs designed to create false narratives. Create working conditions that are so intolerable that people are forced to quit (intentionally so CUSA doesn’t have to pay severance or unemployment).

Advice to recent college grads? If you want to work for this company, know going in that’s on a very limited time basis. Don’t expect to have a lifelong career with this company.

And lastly, their obsession with AI will bite management in their posterior region. Shareholders will be extremely happy with Sammy sun.
