@fq for sure. I haven't done mine. I am dreading the 2 hr learning. I'm just curious if they will actually follow through with it if we don't do the course.

Haven’t even started my checkpoint yet. It truly doesn’t matter. Your boss will promote who they want. Your documentation of your performance is a meaningless HR theatrics.
At this point, it's better to be defiant than compliant.
It's called self-preservation, and knowing when to realize that a situation has gone beyond merely disrespectful and unprofessional, and into the land of gaslighting, outright lying, cheating, stealing, and ruining opportunities, careers, families, and lives.
My guess is that you are either a wannabe-leadership type of person, leadership itself, or HR/PR/Marketing.
No one else would be so bizzarely heartless to come onto a layoff board thread, and spout such THREATS (yes, you've threatened people's jobs here in writing...multiple times) to people who are already feeling vulnerable, kicked when down, and genuinely concerned about their jobs.
It takes a sadist/sociopath to behave as you are doing. And to top it off, you add in your lame little emojis and post again and again, flooding the thread. Are you OK? Is there someone you can call? Your weirdly sad unraveling isn't disguised, despite your efforts to hide behind a written sh!tpile of faux bravado and hubris.
Maybe you're the one who's most concerned about their own job.
