HR is doing what Takis directed. They are not going rogue laying people off on their own accord. Surely you know that. I feel badly for them. You have no idea how many of these difficult conversations they have to be a part of everyday during these big RIFs. I can't imagine having to sit through those calls/meetings and take the brunt of emotion, anger, hostility etc. as if they made the decision time and time again.

I hope you know that HR is just the messenger and that MC actually are making this happen.
