Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Move on or move out

The moment you spend everyday worrying about a layoff is your personal red flag to get out of that position/team or out of this company.
I am so glad I moved on.
No more micromanaging cr-p and no more unrealistic expectations. Gotta do what’s best for you.

I agree… However, it is easier said than done as people are in various situations. But I do believe our mindset is everything and sometimes the best thing you can do is walk away even if you have nothing set up, but the belief that something good will come. Leaving the company was one of the best things I could’ve ever done for my mental health it took years to get to this decision, but so glad that I did.

Don’t let this company keep you stuck and put you in roles that are not aligned to what you want to do. You have agency and autonomy you got this.

Agreed, I spent over 10 miserable years at Optum thinking I had job security, only to be overworked and overstressed, I am so glad I got laid off, I only with I had left sooner. If you are thinking about it, DO IT, there are so many better situations out there. I now work at a company with no stress, 20% salary bump and straight 40 hr weeks, no longer working 70+

I concur. Better treatment with a better company/team. Not to mention much better pay and benefits.

Update your resume, make connections and be PROACTIVE! And stay positive. :)
