Supervisors told to rank BTC expats in USA high

Supervisors in the US are told each year to rank the BTC expats in the USA high and push down the American workers. Happening in Houston, Midland, and Carlsbad.

It is obvious that HR moves people if you have enough people ranked in one group and when rankings show up in Career Connect they are not in the same order that you specifically put them in based on performance and agreed by the entire ranking session.

HR is a power unto themselves and out of control. When HR sets target distributions per race and per nationality and then changes agreed performance rank order to achieve those artificial targets, the people in HR should get PIPd for ranking based on race instead of performance.

An HR Manager admitted that HR moves people after the rank sessions to achieve target distributions.

Even if all BTC were placed at bottom in the ranking sessions, HR manipulates the list to fit their goals, unrelated to performance or rank session results.

@cf there’s a reason race is included in employee profile they are discussing.

@cf target distribution is real. If something looks off they flip people to make it look like there was no possibility of discrimination.

@cf , please tell us you’ve never participated in a ranking session without telling us you’ve never participated in one.

@OP These “supervisors/HR secretly admitted to discrimination” threads are both boring and total BS.

Even if this were true, NOBODY would have admitted it to you or anyone else.

“Disproportionately” is cr-p. They were ranked based on performance.

Any movement upwards is false manipulation, but I have seen HR do this in the past to meet “target distribution”.

The system is rigged.

The GBCs are a huge part of the future strategy. In India everybody is begging to come to the United States and they are dangling that carrot hard to keep people and even promising them trips to USA. Some of these guys have never left the country and a company paid trip to USA they will run through a brick wall for.

GBC people are being protected and used as examples for what’s possible. They can’t make it look like it was a terrible career move. At the same time to bring something over takes a lot of approvals. Nobody wants to look bad by saying their investment failed

Senior leadership has bet the future of the company on BTC. If BTC employees are ranked low, it’ll look like their plan is a failure. They’re propping up incompetent BTC staff so that the whole BTC mess looks better.

Ours too. We were told that at the VP stewardship level we had to have an equal distribution for the BTC team. It moved 3 Indian employees out of NSI and replaced them with three Houston ones.

HR had our group go boost BTC expats when they were disproportionally ranked below locals

@OP Another thing that never happened.

This is false, its actually the opposite. BTC expats are put in the bottom as they don’t have sponsors.
