At this point, I don't think retaining the good people is even on the priority list. Someone leaves and instead of replacing them, their work just gets dumped on whoever is still here. Then the deadlines get shorter and the pressure gets turned up another notch. There's always that unspoken feeling of "do it or else," and I'm getting really tired of it. Maybe getting laid off wouldn't be so bad.

Getting laid off is the best thing for me that stopped me from the rat race, enabled me to go on a long vacation while getting paid, and a new job awaiting.

@dj If you're an employee in the state of Washington, that's 100% true. They're trying to replace all the Washington based employees with those from elsewhere in the country because the cost of living here is 25% higher than in Kansas, Texas or any other sane state in the country.
T-Mobile believes they have too many easily replaced employees. My manger told me this on the down low and in our last regional call we were all told T-Mobile now expects more from us for less pay. This mentality has ruined many companies and is ruining this one. THE DOOM LOOP CONTINUES!
