Good opportunity or no? Comp plan is pretty low (basis points).
Good money to be had there? Can you do high production? Or is mostly chasing down branch leads like a quasi call center job?

Awful. Terrible compensation package, hands down the worst origination system around (MPX/MAX) and pricing is almost always .25% to .50% in RATE out of market. Bloated layers of unneeded management contribute the cr-ppy price and are responsible for purchasing the origination system. The LAST place you want to be in the mortgage business right now. Does that answer your question?
You don’t want to work in mortgage and especially in closing. I guess now there is corrective action if we don’t call yet ever other support group can sc--w the file up and that’s ok. Total joke.
Ask Manila this question. Chase sent all the jobs in mortgage over there.
“20 years experience in mortgage, worked @ chase home lending centralized and retail for combined 3 years. Not hyperbole, the absolute worst bank/dept i have ever worked for. Upper management/ Durney are utterly incompetent, systems/ internal process are broken. Pricing is not competitive. Look elsewhere.”
Really?? When did you work at Chase??
Chase definitely does not seem out of the market in price right now.
I worked for Wells Fargo for many years and always felt we were priced high on conforming loans.
Chase gotta be stronger than Wells Fargo at least ???

“ Are you asking because you are planning to come to this department?? If so, I would’nt there isn’t enough work to bank your life on it. Don’t make a move yet!”
Why? Prob depends on where you are right? Couple folks in my market are making $300k and not working super hard. Chase is expanding branches big time around here.
