Thread regarding CDW layoffs

The current coworkers were right!

We new employees have been meeting and chatting on other sites and with each other. Now that most of us have started working here, we agree with the current employees. The leaders here are terrible and the company is highly dysfunctional and there is no way we are busting our a-s for this broken place. The executives don't have a clue and show us things and decisions that we learned in business 101 that you never do. Many of us are already looking for other jobs and wondering how all of you decided to stay here as long as you did. It is a testament to your efforts because there is no fu--ing way we would. So let me speak for most of us new guys in saying we apologize and you were all right. CDW su-ks and is not an honest nor caring company to anyone.

I'm always right.

That's why I quit before the mess started.

@OP This is just an example of the bigger life lesson, take heed to your elder's advice and experiences.

@r3 certainly looks and smells like it to me. Can smell the factory chemicals from those extra shiny backpacks that can hold a can of pop and a burrito. Good to see they are adjusting well to CDW life.

This whole thread seems like bait from the new hires. Anyone want to take bets that this thread originated in India by some new hire?

This board may but have been a godsend. That last message might be right. I may have missed prpmotion opportunities or different experience. I spent almost 10 years of my life here hoping for change. Its been a total waste. FU-K! I am late to the party but I am floating my resume too. I am not giving up being happy for 3 or 4 weeks of pay. How hard is the market out there for a sales guy. I am a top seller and have awards and trips to the islands every year to proce it. That should help right? I appreciate advise from those who have moved on.

It's not that we cannot handle pressure. We just refuse to. I believe you do what you love and call it work. So I won't be around a fu---d up environment. Life is too short. So we will look for the right place. You were right in knowing by being here. Now the question is, why stay? A separation check is temporary while building a career at a place you like and getting promoted while you are there is a better option.

Of course we are right, we lived through it. You did not. Your post brings many laughs to anyone who has worked here a long time. Adapt. Your young minded ego thinking you know better got in the way of listening. Also, CDW is a sales company, in case you didnt hear. You were sold on an idea. You fell for it, just like anyone else. So now you decide this place is what it is, after a few months and gossiping amd hard work?

Please by all means, go. You cannot handle pressure. Many of us oldies can. Let us stay at our jobs and not get laid off and know how to work it, versus spoiled young kids. Many of us who know what to do are getting let go to for some young ones who cannot work. How is that fair to those who got let go? To allow room for younger?

Good luck finding a new job. And learn how to handle pressure, and learn what hard work is all about it. Tech doesnt make anyone life easier.

I was a retiree that was hopeful that you all would turn around the company and make my savings worth something. I now see we are doomed and that the leadership and culture they created is too sc--wed up to fix. I have to sell my stock and look at other investments. I can't do this any more. Loyalty is given to those who have earned it and as long as Leahy and her cloneys like Liz are there, the retirees and customers will fail

Huh? The conspiracies continue even when you are all in with them. I write a single post and now I am part of the Borg collective? WTF!

Wow. It is totally believable that you "all" wrote that. That was definitely not the same person posting as different people on their own post. Your writing styles were absolutely unique and different from each other. This is such a believable thread.

Yeah man. It's pretty fu---d up. The employees here were right and we were wrong. I won't be busting my a-s for this collection of executive stiffs either. Already floating my resume too. Fu-k this sh-t.

Me too. I wish I had never signed the offer letter a month ago. This company is a dumpster fire. And let me be one to say that I slammed many of the older coworkers in other posts and saw you go silent. Now I know you were thinking, "just wait and see". Well we do see and we are sorry for our disparaging comments. CDW is riddled with bad managers and leaders at every level and some of the worst ideas I have ever heard. The poster below is right. There are a sh-t load of things they did that we studied in business school were culture and success killers. It is clear that our leadership su-ks and what we tell customers that we can do is even worse. Honesty and trust are cornerstones of building success and relationships with customers and what I have witnessed is unethical and sickening. I, like many of us newbie coworkers, is floating my resume. We won't put up with this elementary leadership. Good riddance CDW and it will take more than a culture repair position to fix this sh-t. It will take leadership that we clearly lack. i apologize to the previous and current coworkers too. We don't know how you put up with their sh-t as long as you did. CDW must have been special at one time for all of you to hang on with hope the way you did. The board needs to be bold and cut Leahy tomorrow. if the board hired in a mole, they would know. And I already heard to lie on the evaluations about your leaders because they will know who did it. So you are all being fed bullsh-t when you read those. If I am still here, which I hope I am not, I will lie and say all is okay to keep my job but once I leave, I will send a letter to the board members to explain how rotten the core of this apple is and that it all came from some really poor executives and the CEO.

I have not visited those sites but I have been here 4 weeks and you are right. This place is very fu---d up. I wish we had listened to the older coworkers. They were here and we should have known to just listen. Our CEO and especially Liz, deserve dunce caps. The board should act. Their expectations should be higher than what these two have to offer. Congrats ELT, you have succeeded in making us one time CDW and ELT new employees and turning us into your adversary. You should all resign. The way you have been treating the coworkers and your terrible leadership should make you resign if you really care about what is best for all of us and the company. Please do the right thing for all of us, the shareholders, and the customers and please resign.
