Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

When a company is turned over to consultants and outsourcing companies to run, is there ever a success story? or is it a sell-off story? Please name one successful company.

Some VC should buy PEP and, as someone already pointed out, have Claude run it. Things would be much better.

I'm okay with the apathy, mediocrity and doing the bare minimum each and everyday. PEP has had decades to fix what's wrong, but they've clearly decided not to, it's over for PEP. PEP needs to be sold and broken up.

This feels sooo familiar. Working from a capabilities center with the media team under toxic leadership, I seen many good people ready to move, but often no clear direction from leadership. Too many changes, too much talking, not enough decisions. After some time people get tired and stop believing things will really change.

The talent is really there. What is missing is leaders who take decision, stand behind it and accept when it goes wrong.

Agree, there are significant ties to McKinsey consulting. Definitely overpaid and their goal is to squeeze every last drop of profit out of the company before it is sold.

The problem is of greed incompetence and ignorance at the top level who care nothing. They are there to line their pockets and their friends.

We would get this completed to a phenomenal level. But this pathetic and spineless sold out to special consultants Starting with that Indian witch who lined her country folks to milk this company dry and her annointed successors continued that trajectory.

Ramon had the opportunity to correct it but no. He gets Athina who should have been fired within a year but is getting groomed for future role.

Give us a break. Replace all of them with Claude equivalents and we will do better.
