Thread regarding Optum layoffs

2026 annual reviews

Anyone heard anything about the annual review bucketing, potential increases and bonuses? 2025 was already bad. What should we expect? Same, better, worse?

Every year my raise doesn't keep pace with inflation or they take away benefits (e.g. 401k match, work from home) I work a little less. It's simple math. My time & expertise has value - the less they pay for, the less they get.

As my manager says, if you lower your standards, you'll never be disappointed.

@qn See! They really hate this, and are down voting as a result. At the very least, Optum is bound to stringent federal regulations that severely limits reductions in workforce until union contracts are ratified. Their current tactics are to delay a contract as long as humanly possible, so if you are worried about losing your job it's probably the best option, but do your own damn homework and research it yourself.

0% raise for two years in a row with a "4" rating. I quit with no new job.

1% last year and my health benefits went up. I’m making less than when I started 11 years ago. I expect nothing this year, sad truth.

Keeping your job for another 90 days is the new raise.

@mc yes I am in a production environment which means I am eligible for monthly bonuses based on production amounts and quality. Many roles are like this in the company and I am a 25.

@k3 You get bonuses? We lost that too so I guess consider yourself lucky with one of the better positions at Optum.

To not disappoint myself, I do not expect a raise going forward at this company.
I am going to work towards the monthly bonuses structure I am on and be happy with that. There is no fighting this anymore; it just ends in me being extremely angry.
I don’t plan to leave this job for a while due to benefits and the luxury of working at home.
The job is not that hard either for me.
I am going to be happy with my pay and just move on. I can’t keep holding onto this stress and madness anymore. It’s not good for me. I give the effort I think is equal for the pay. Show up, do the job, and leave.
We know the answer if they will give raises. Setting up for failure year after year. I will no longer expect what I know won’t happen. That’s my peace.

I’m done with the be grateful you even have a job attitude at Optum. No move forward. No raises just more work and horrible long hours always with the threat the Leadership is not happy. I look forward to leaving.

@cs Agreed. A 0% raise is the best-case scenario for many of us who are just trying to stay onboard for a couple more years before retirement. I know more people who have been let go at Optum than those who quit on their own.

A bonus, LOL! I got moved to a different team with a paycut and consider myself luckly compared to those who were let go and not redeployed.

Small. We got 0% even with 3/4 on our reviews and I am expecting 1% or less this year.

@bn I think that's only if you're GL26 or lower. 27+ still gets RRP.

@OP expect this company to give you their very worst. Always. It's what they do best (aside from denying claims, monopolizing the health care industry, and stealing from the federal government).
