For years we were willing to be underpaid at ExxonMobil because of the pension and job security. No bonuses was the trade off. Now with the current state of affairs there is no reason not to leave and go work somewhere else.
No loyalty given no loyalty returned
Even during COVID bonuses were paid out by others. They were smaller than normal but not zero.
Other oil companies offer 20 to 25 percent bonuses with potential to go below or above that if personal and business performance is high. I wonder if our base salary is an average of 20 to 25 percent higher than our competitors? Not likely.
