contractors carry this stupid company and deserve to be “promoted” to FTE for their dedication and hard work. it’s d-mb and ahitty and fu-k t-mobile for it . but that’s why.
This. Postings are either to transition a contractor to FTE or to promote someone they have already chosen. Most postings are 100% for show.
I know someone who got a new job while breaking every policy there is……..
When I got laid off during the March rift. I applied to two internal job postings, but the recruiter and the hiring manager were honest and told me it was to transition some of their contractors.
a bad hire looks really really bad on the hiring manager. hiring a contractor you already know a lot safer. it’s t-mobile’s fault for being so contractor heavy, so a new FTE is relatively rare. that one FTE hire is scrutinized by all parties involved.
