Few posts online are claiming that people are abandoning their homes, leaving cars at airports and flying out of the country, this could be a early sign or a social media speculation of repeat of past 2008 housing crisis ?

@a5 I get what you’re saying. Even if the affected group is small in one state the impact becomes meaningful if the same pattern spreads across many states. One state alone won’t move the national housing market but if multiple states start seeing this could cumulative and effect can grow.
no. from what i know it’s only people on visas like h1b which makes up a small portion of the housing market. might affect some areas in texas but i dont see it having a significant impact on the US housing market
