With all these new H1b rule changes and restrictions I haven’t seen a single one leave yet, their contracts just keep extending for years on though there is a supposed moratorium on contract durations. What’s the hack?

@ca They play the long game... fake degree might not get the job (I find that hard to believe, but lets say so for a minute). But fake degrees plus the corruption your parents indulged in accumulating lots of rupees gets you into any US college for "advanced degrees". Then its OPT followed by chain migration, maybe a sham marriage or two. Good try @ca to whitewash a tu-d.

I was on a project with on H1B who literally was down to two days before expiration and USAA finally got it approved. His boss was sweating because he couldn’t afford to lose him.
Right or wrong, corporate greed is to blame for the import of these resources. It’s not their fault and I don’t blame them for trying to chase a better life.
D-mb people will keep waiting on these things as their means of survival
@ax background check for visas are like getting a security clearance to work for the US government. Fake degrees don't make it. I would encourage you to look at the requirements for obtaining a visa, any visa, let alone a work visa for usa. Wages may have been cheaper in the past but regulations have changed where they cannot be paid below a certain threshold so they are not necessarily cheaper. In terms of competence, skill gap is the main reason they are hired. Because there are no qualified people to fill the positions or do the hard work. People who are skilled and work hard, don't have to worry. They will always land a job.
You are going to be seeing some departures in the coming months. And this time, for the first time, it's not because USAA had anything to do with it.

Employers salivate over cheap subservient and sheep-like employees. H1Bs fit this model like hand in glove. Also, employees mostly overlook the fact that many H1Bs hold fake degrees and are mostly incompetent.
