My manager put me on a PIP. He basically made it clear it was either him or me without coming out and saying it directly. Then he told me this whole story about his newborn having health issues, his parents struggling, and how he can’t afford to lose his job since he’s the main earner in his family.
What about my family?
I gave a list of low performers and management nightmares prior to leaving. Of those I can say only one I was on the fence about. The other 6 are no doubt gone in the next two LR cycles. I wish I could be the one informing them and hitting enter on the keyboard. The stress individuals caused covering the arrogance has me watching linkedin just to insert that laughing emoji. You won’t find a job if you’re expecting previous leadership to give a recommendation, that I assure you.
