There are going to be some hidden RAs in all BUs using PIPs.
Record any 1:1 with your manager and any document showing your performance.
Save all your emails and keep them safe.
If you are on PIP you are a target (you are going to be fired from Indian Business Machines).
Save as much as you can from this sh---y company.
Albany is only absolutely safe place.
HR execs have already taken the position that RA's aren't to remove people with performance issues. Those on PIPs will exit via the PIP as it costs IBM less money in severance. They'll use RA's to reduce those that would they can't take out via a PIP

Sorry to say , It’s not going to really matter how much you document. If you try to sue them,it is a long uphill battle. You better have an iron clad case. If so, it still could be dragged out over years. IBM are veterans of firing people. Have been for 30 years.They have done it in so many different ways. This year seems to be leaning on PIPs more. The more irrelevant IBM becomes the higher numbers will be laid off. The main reason they are using pips, is to get people to quit so they don’t have to pay severance.
Don’t ever quit if you are on a PIP. Make them fire you.
