Stoelzle Glass USA has temporarily laid off approximately 200 employees. This action is due to a significant production investment at its facility. The company is undertaking a $100 million upgrade to its Monaca, Pennsylvania plant. This project includes rebuilding the furnace to increase melting capacity and improve energy efficiency. Workers are expected to be rehired by February 1st upon project completion.
