Anyone up for starting a new small “Ansys” so we can all leave and join, and bring along colleagues who’s already been laid off?

@vb Fortunately I will not need to be testing the theory, as I found a job with an EDA customer. In Texas, a judge is free to rewrite the terms of a non-compete agreement to make it enforceable.
@v0 Did you know its almost impossible to enforce a non compete in a court of law? They put the "scare" into you, but actually can't defend that when the company lets you go.
@tm Interesting that they are enforcing it for people leaving on their own, but not enforcing it for people who are laid off.
@db Mine (US, not California) said that the non-compete agreement is waived. I can apply wherever I want.

Count me in. I've been trying to quit for years. Now it's happened and I have a severance package to keep me alive.
