Seriously, why?
They clearly don't do anything with that info.

The survey supports the lie that executive management cares about the company and the people that work here. Transient execs making a pitstop at 3M to "extract value" before moving to another company to be over paid to ruin lives.
Oh, absolutely! Because nothing screams “authentic feedback” like mid-level managers, their higher-ups, and a handful of eager sycophants scrambling to fill out the survey just to keep their bosses grinning.
The rest of us? Oh, we ditched the whole charade ages ago. Surveys? Meaningful? Ha! That ship sailed long before most of us even glanced at the first question. But hey, why bother with genuine opinions when you can have a perfectly curated echo chamber?
Meaningless pulse survey when all the working level are brain dead. Quiet quitted. No PULSE!!
Some of the sad souls left in HR need some kind of task to do. Poor things. In between writing pink slips, let them have their survey glory.
The whole point of every employee survey is so all that those outside of the manufacturing locations can tell the plant managers that the levels just below them and then the supervisory organisation from them down within the plant are sh-t.
Every survey that has ever come out in the history of 3M ultimately ends up basically saying that everyone within manufacturing locations is the problem, with management and supervisors being viewed as the core problem. The sad fact is that is that 99% of employee surveys negative responses are not against their direct supervisor, ultimate manager, or even plant manager, but the surveys will never be worded in such a way as the real true issues with this company as a whole are made clear.
No more meaningless surverys for me. Let them deal with the low response rate. If thst does not send a message, I don't know what will.
They don't need pulse survey. Just come to visit this site more often. They will get the candid feedback.
@OP Same reason everything that happens in 3M these days, especially the d-mb stuff: Someone has a metric/KPI to meet. Someone in HR is probably getting rated on response % to the survey so they are pushing to get more responses.
They want to find out what subject we are sensitive about so they can rub some dirt in it.
