Capital One had problems long before we started having these layoffs. The biggest one is probably the lack of opportunities for career advancement within the company. Unless you're near the very top, there's a noticeable absence of inward mobility. Those of us who are hoping to switch to different roles within the organization seem to always hit a wall. Don't even get me started on moving up. The best choice here is to leave.

What a horrible place. OCC must shut it down. It's no good for people.
Nothing has changed at this company since 1996 when I started. I have witnessed decades of this behavior. If you choose to make this your career, save wisely, live life like your job could go away tomorrow. Accept you will languish at the level you start. Negotiate your salary because once you start at that salary, raises will be small. Watch your back as well.
The place is sick there is an illness from top management in their terrible performance management and poor leadership in managing the business.
