Can anyone who has been layed off recently advise how much cobra is? I have a serious health condition and expect a layoff. Just looking for estimate. Best wishes to those still looking for new jobs.

Mine was a lot. I didn’t bother. I already was forced to leave my home because I no longer could afford it. I filed for state low income insurance because I was unemployed and then filed for financial assistance with the my medical office. I was approved for 75% assistance. Use available help because it’s out there.
@g5 is typing from the Clinton era. Hello! Obama Care even in its current state does not allow for pre existing conditions to be excluded.
It's going to be the same price as your existing coverage, but it is kind of expensive.
Most new insurance won't coverage pre-existing conditions so research the market
743 a month
Can you file for short term disability/FMLA? That may protect you for a short while.
Check your W2, box 12, Code DD. That's the total cost of your employer sponsored health coverage (your portion and your employer's portion). So you should expect to pay that for COBRA and the administration fee.
It depends on what medical coverage you have. Basically you pay the full cost of your existing coverage plan (the employee portion and the employer portion) instead of just the employee portion that currently gets taken out of your paycheck, + a 10% fee. You can see the total cost of your current plan somewhere in My Total Rewards, unless something changed.
