Someone just took a pic with our CEO and posted this... And it got1000+ likes... honestly surprised since I vomit in mouth just on the first paragraph 🤢

Today was one of the highlights of my 27-year career at ExxonMobil Baton Rouge. I had the opportunity to hear Darren Woods speak with employees and, as an added bonus, spend some time with him during a safety demo in the field. I was even fortunate enough to take a picture with him, something I'll remember for a long time.

What stood out most was his authenticity, transparency, and willingness to engage directly with employees. His answers to our questions were thoughtful, candid, and reaffirmed why I am proud to be part of this company.

One statement that particularly resonated with me was: "Not here to advise. Not here to consult. We are here to deliver." That mindset reflects what I've experienced throughout my career and why I remain passionate about the ... Blah blah...

You mindless sheeples. It’s not the polish words and catchy sound bites for CNBC or Fox Business that matter. It’s his actions and deeds.

I’ve got some colorful ribbons and shiny beads if you’re interested or maybe some grape Koolaid.

Incredible. 27 years of work and the highlight is… standing next to Darren Woods for 27 seconds? The dedication to corporate worship here is honestly breathtaking. If EM ever launches a loyalty program, this post should qualify for platinum status.

I saw him throw away a napkin and styrofoam cup. I immediately went dumpster diving to retrieve these sacred relics and only drink from this cup now and sniff the napkin when I need a pick me up. 😂

I shook his hand once. I haven’t washed it since or cut my fingernails on that hand.😂

Too bad we don’t have offices and assigned desks anymore or I would keep a photo of DW on my desk to look at and feel inspired by 😂

Honestly I feel sorry for the guy if that is a highlight of a 27-year career. I can think of career highlights and they involve overcoming some big challenges and periods where I was fortunate to work with some great people on a team where we just meshed really well and it made work fun in spite of the constant noise from management. Nowhere in the highlight reel though is a carefully orchestrated photo op visit and pep talk from management.

I’ve met him and small talk was fine. He was easy to talk to. The small talk though doesn’t make right all the negative impacts to employees that have occurred and will continue to occur due to the cost cutting and offshoring of jobs.
