To the select few that are posting here about how great of a company PayPal is, you are on a mf layoff site and there were layoffs yesterday. Take your oddities (loving PayPal in 2026 is a bonafide oddity) to inkedIn or lind. This site is to help each other out and to put employees first (or ex emaployees) and above all else always are the employees more important than shareholders. When will a CEO understand that when you have that mentality, everyone wins, including shareholders.

@bd check out consumer sentiment around PayPal - may I suggest the PayPal subr eddit for some quick education on your part - and then talk to us about PP being a great company.

I havent seen anyone say they love paypal. I think some have a certain disdain for paypal and whoever doesnt feel the same is a bootlicker. As far as jobs go, I like mine. I dont like the company itself but I also understand that employees are never a companies first concern. Its always money and share value. Its just business. Putting employees first isnt what wall street cares about. Its potential growth/return in an investment. Treating your employees nice doesnt do much for that. Maybe try to stop taking it so personally and if it bothers you so much consider looking for another job. Or wait another 2, 3, 5, 10 years for a severance check that may never come.
But PayPal is a great company!
Of course if you don't like it, feel free to leave. The other financial service company run by a former credit card scammer fired 2/3 of all employees due to "AI" and still can't turn a real profit.

As an employee I am far from praising Enrique. But I do understand that a company cannot grow employee number and at the same time be unsuccessful with their acquisitions and their business. I will be of use for PayPal as long as I add enough value. That’s just what it is with every company.
I went through the same anxiety as everyone else the last months and I do feel sorry for everyone who was laid off!
Both thoughts can exist at the same time.
@OP Let’s be real…anyone glazing Enrique or PayPal right now is either one of his yes-men or Enrique himself writing those comments.
