@391 I can see this happening already. The pay and role level is not in onshore control. GCC managers can favor their people for higher level roles, pay and bonuses. They will eventually show a large difference in spend for junior roles and somehow convince EC that offshore is better which will drive more layoffs in the US. Leadership in the US must be really cautious and be aware to protect themselves and their teams

Hr in india is notorious especially. Hyderabad in taking bribes and hiring people. Same goes to the managers. This is a disaster in making. Bangalore has a different culture vs. Hyderabad. Hyderabad operates better if they pay over market else you are getting folks with fake degrees, resumes and caste based politics.

Look up profiles of folks in GCC. Some of them are ex colleagues from JPMC. There will definitely be a favouritism in hiring.

Can HR monitor when relatives of Indian leaders are being pushed to be hired?

@h5 That is how it works in the US. what makes you think it can be stopped in India?

@qz I know several that has been told that the department where they work job will transfer to the GCC, and they are encouraged to apply at the GCC. People on the same team has been told nothing (i.e., will probably just be laid off).

GCC is a seperate company. Onshore does not directly manage GCC employees, even if they "work" for an onshore group.

Yes afaik it's still handled by on shore MD, confirmed recently
