I’m getting a lot of “my purpose“ recognition notifications from a bunch of executives I have never met and aren’t even in my hierarchy. Like I don’t report to them in any way shape or form. Almost like they are mistakingly recognizing me, when they mean to recognize somebody else. Has anyone else? I appreciate the effort, but considering how awful this company has been to work for the last two or three years it seems pretty disingenuous. The engagement survey starts next week, the new CEO starts today, etc. It just feels like a bunch of exacts are trying to cover their a-s.

Yes, very ridiculous to receive canned recognition from someone you've never heard of. What happened to the points??
I ignore them. Unless you do have someone you like, most are just doing it to get brown nosing points. If I have someone in a department that really takes the time to help me, I will send them a recognition note. Otherwise I ignore it.
The real funny part, you all keep mentioning "points"........we don't actually get any points from these, look at your balance. Mine is the same at 77 pts and I received like 6-7 "appreciation" emails. It's laughable.

It's the end of the cycle, and now they must burn these points in a system none of them really believe in.
I remember the ones I received... until I realized it was purely mandatory.

Yeah I’m up to 5 of these now. They can’t even competently pretend to be appreciative. No idea who any of these execs are and I dont report to any of them.
We should reciprocally nominate each of the execs: I’m printing all five identical emails out to frame them. My career has peaked.
I had 2 yesterday as well. Reported as phishing attempts. Oh wow, a few points for "recognition", still have yet to accumulate enough to get anything of worth in the catalog. This costs the company practically nothing as most people never use the points. But giving a real merit or COL increase is too much. So they lose good people, and have to pay the next inexperienced person the same increase to fill the role.
