Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Frank - what a jerk!

A new strategy in 2023 to avoid paying severance:

  1. 90 days notice for a remote associate to accept relocation package to a hub of their choice or separate from the company with a severance package.
  1. If associate accepts to relocate, he/she has 12 months to finalize the move. If the move not completed within 12 months , employee to be terminated without severance.

I know few who took the 12 months option to run the clock , in hopes Fiserv stock crashes or Frank fired. Maybe then the policy would change.

If you take a relocation package--- be certain that if you get any money you don't spend it, any of it. First, if you don't stay long enough (determined by your package details, most certainly longet than your 12 month "clock" and likely 12 months longer than that "clock") you generally have to pay it back. Second-- any money you receive for relocation is taxable income.

And some took the relocation package, uprooted their families, only to be cut after going to their new location.

This company is run by arseholes.

90 warning of severance is a better deal than most people on this board will get. Best we get is a 15 minute touchbase meeting.

Frank is not leaving Fiserv any time soon. If he were to leave I think Himanshu Patel would take over. It could be someone else though

In this context its silly to take the relocation package without intention to move. Take the severance - Things are not getting magically better in this company

Not defending FB ever, but that's not a new feature or offer...and it wasn't a smart move to take the relo option with no intent to actually move. Ya can't wish away bad leaders...
