Insider stock trade trends.....what's up, stock?

Gee....one has to wonder....do they know something? (removes tongue from cheek):
Insider Trading Activity and Trends
Over the past year, Michael Feld has sold a total of 953 shares of Becton Di-kinson & Co and has not purchased any shares during that same period. This recent sale continues a trend of consistent, albeit relatively small, divestments by the insider.

Looking at the broader insider transaction history for Becton Di-kinson & Co, the picture is decidedly one-sided. Over the past year, there have been 0 insider buys at the company, while there have been 22 insider sells during the same timeframe. This imbalance between buying and selling activity is a signal that corporate insiders, who possess the most intimate knowledge of the company's operations and prospects, have been net sellers of the stock.

Turns out the most recent Michael Feld sales I could verify were 75-share transactions, and at least one was executed under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan that was adopted back in February 2025. He still held over 20,000 shares afterward. So either this is the world's most patient insider trading scheme, or it's possible that scheduled stock sales aren't the smoking g-n they're being presented as.

@aq the street seems to believe that when insider execs sell but do not buy, they are signaling that they know the stock is not going to go any higher. None of them "need" to sell, their salaries (one would think) are sufficient. I'm sure they're buying lots of other stocks with the profits. Its a bad look.

Tom Polen sold shares this month. It’s public record. And why not? Like the rest of us he knows when the stock rebounds you sell. And we did not have employee stock program before so anyone in BD who received LTI, got their stocks that way.

Why would they buy when they are awarded stock annually as part of their compensation plans? Look it up, most of the EXLT’s salaries are public.
