If you post for a job but do not get it until after your last day, do you still get severance?

Absolutely...true.....Like remarrying someone who dumps you......Why are so many afraid of the job market,????
There is a clawback period if you are offered a role and accept it or reject it, where they can rescind severance.

If you "accept an offer," you cannot receive severance. So if they're dangling something but haven't made an offer, make damn sure they haven't told HR that you've accepted an offer.
why would you get severance if you are getting a check again from the company since you are no longer severed... just reallocated
Depends on how long you are out before returning. A coworker was laid off and then offered a job the day after her last day and she didn’t get severance.
