Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

? for ceo

  1. based on the 20 pov post, do you really believe a new hire in the office is anywhere near as productive as a 20 year associate who works from home?
  2. How long do you think it takes to learn 12 different core banking systems all of which have been heavily customized at the client level? Again who will be more productive a 20 year work from home person or a new hire at BH?

We all know the answers, because we don't work at McDonalds, what we do is very complex and takes years to learn. Amazing for a ceo who professes to know so much about "productivity and efficiency" to understand he has undermined his own concept by a non-fact based, emotional approach to putting work from office above all else, including his own employees.

How much "productivity" has he cost Fiserv with this non-sensical obsession.

Let’s not forget, we hire these people in BH while the rest of their team is all over the country. Sure let’s isolate this person in the name of collaboration. But Frank wants that BH tax money, not the productivity of the person forking with their team

Knowlege-rich associates are so rare in this company. Tech capabilities hav been decimated with the sudden push to have everyone reporting out of New Jersey where you have dubious leaders (google their top tech who see how they were better at spying on employees than developing state of the art tech solutions). So much humour in watching the same JPM rejects attempt to re-invent themselves in a failing company

And without..
'really solid documentation either' much of their chatbot desires are DOA.

Not only is there no time to train, there's no time to create really solid documentation either. So unless it's already in place, good luck new hires. Sink or swim.

Some people will schedule a meeting for you do the work, but pretend it is a review of work. I had to call a few people out in this.

All I know is I do not have time to train employees from scratch. Not in my job description. I will provide documentation, but do not ask me to waste days, weeks, and months training. It is counter productive to my work load.

You make some good points. Everybody can work remote now.

Agreed, and clients do notice the big rift in knowledge and staff. I was on a client call and they ripped into us directly commenting on loss of staff and pushing all the knowledgeable people out the door. But hey Frankie thinks things are better with people standing around the coffee station vs letting them work where they want and get the job done.

I think he's still sour from when Covid first hit and Original Fiserv never skipped a beat and staff went remote without a hiccup and Org FirstData was sitting with their thumbs up their butts cause he stripped every ounce of remote work from them in the years prior.

Probably just payback at OFS for making him look stupider than he already is.
