Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Yet another restructuring at TEBG!

TEBG is constantly restructuring. It feels like no one can make up their minds on how to function.
How long will the games continue? The morale can't get any lower than this.

Yes remember those days. But in these days somebody coming to the lab in suit clearly shows he is not fit to supervise the R&D.

Funny the talk about suit and tie standing out. Years ago the quad was a huge dress up contest and rat race.

Ask NS who used to roam CRPL with this formal attire. The then SVP GA loved him

One director mentioned in a meeting that the outgoing president of a product platform was very happy to be retiring. She had cancelled off the series of townhall. Must be glad that she is out of this sh!thole.

Do you think JB the current CTO did the same or a different strategy ?

That’s right. He climbed really, really fast. But he was brought in for Larry to leave soon, I thought. Kerry and Inge didn’t get along

Omg! Very true and the CTO too. Wonder why there is so much goof in understanding technology and product development. They have no relevant experience! Ah!!!

Yet "sales" are a big part of climbing the technical "ladder", unofficially of course. And I'm pretty sure plants don't even allow ladders. I think it's an OSHA thing :)

@296 So what? making money for 3M is not a requirement to climb the management ladder. One example is the current CRL SVP: never made a penny for 3M but 3M made him a millionaire.

Nope. Neither has he or his predecessor who was handpicked into ASd with promotion.

Dressing well is a prerequisite for a high potential. Must be in line for a VP level position. Has this Dude ever made any $$ for 3M ?

Bro got promoted since he is in management. In all probability, made zero $$ for the company! Promotions happen like clockwork in management, no accomplishments required. Just continue doing horsework for the higher ups.

He is no worker bee, thats for sure. Hence he is technical employee.

When promotion is so hard in the company for technical folks who are working so hard and delivering how come this CRPL manager NS gets a jump. Huh? Guys best is to learn good English and not worry about technology.

He gets praised for his English not his technology prowess. And he got a promotion. Unbelievable what the two beans in a pod can do to destroy R&D

That lab mgr from CRPL will be one of the reason EBO will go down. He is another proof of a CRL manager who did nothing to go up the ranks. May be they wanted to get rid of him from CRL

SV the yawner, SP the yapper have spoiled the TEBG with lack of leadership and ownership, EBO a 20 year old work, will face a lot during manufacturing scale up. Wower can’t Wow LinkedIn with just this

Post ID: @1wf+1m0bnkd5t

Oh wow, look at all these new management layers popping up in the shiny new EBO organization at TEBG! Because what every fresh business division really needs is a mountain of managers, right? I mean, who cares if it’s already bursting at the seams with leadership?

From my cozy little corner supporting this program as a hands on worker bee (indirectly, of course), I can tell you the poor worker bees are drowning in work. But hey, why add more hands on deck when we can just add more bosses to boss around?

And the cherry on top? Snagging a Senior Lab Manager from CRPL with a whopping two direct reports. Because clearly, that’s the pinnacle of efficiency and necessity. Bravo!
