If Follett is cutting all across the board, why are there so many open positions? If they're doing away with course materials. general merchandise and operations managers. Why are these positions still available?

Are you really happy as to your just surviving your job and so you’re bragging about it that you’re still here? we used to be proud of working for Follett 10 years ago or so. So months so much is taken place and now we’re just happy struggling along with no hours not assisting our customers because there’s not enough help and that’s OK. What kind of a Follett employee are you? You obviously must be from the new mold, because the old mold was all about pride and service and assistance. Not just merely survival. I for one I’m not proud of what I have to do to barely survive. It seems dishonest and disloyal. So sad to see Follett become what it is. Not proud not happy not able to do my job correctly not able to service the university the way I should sad sad day. Sad. Sad year.

Should we also speak about Tower and Field raises when you are cutting? Heard there were some interesting conversations on the side during the visit. So we can promote and raise, but not provide labor.
You all know that if you were transparent, this forum would not exist.
We could also speak about the brief appearance of our fearless leader during it. Oh man, you just realized I was in there.
If your store roster has room for positions and people leave they will show as open. But managers aren’t hiring because there are no hours to give the staff. I have team lead and team member spots open but I’m not hiring to give them 0 hours

So the RMs and GVPs didn’t just meet at the Tower and have to sign NDAs about Project Move Forward that looks at bringing course material management to centrally controlled positions under BM? And that it won’t lead to layoffs in those areas? And our Pres was more than usually disheveled looking during this meeting?

Well, who says they're cutting all across the board? Some randoms here on an anonymous website, where fear is the goal? People have been claiming for a decade that "the end is nigh!! Follett is going to collapse and we're all going to be laid off!! Any day now!!"
And yet here we still are.
