Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Stock Prices

The stock prices aren't looking to good according to what I read. Seems to be trending downward.

In my opinion, U.S. Bank is setting itself up to be sold to one of the Canadian banks, given their pioneer outpost in the northern tundra of the Midwest, closer to the financial centers of Canada than to the ones in the U.S. The fed and the OCC have approve the sale of Bank of the West to a Canadian bank and First Horizon's acquisition by TD should be approved, they would approve a sale of U.S. Bank, PNC, Truist or Regions, but they might only approve one Canadian acquisition of a large regional bank.

When Berkshire left, didn't give any other institutional investors a feeling of confidence in the current leadership, the current investigations, the mismanagement of return to office and the other issues occasioned by pi-s poor management,, which will get flushed out in April with first quarter numbers.

The bank has been working for years to give it's leadership a huge golden parachute when another bank takes over. Can't be long now. The new owners are going to love all the cutting and chopping they are going to be doing.

The bank is a leader in nothing. They don't do anything better than their peers. Ripe for being taken over.

Easy to see why Berkshire cashed out last year, bank is now plagued by inept and inexperienced leadership, in my opinion the leadership, particularly in the payment vertcal is out of gas, out of ideas and ought to be run out of the company.

Yes! Stock has underperformed the market and its peers for years under AC’s incompetent leadership. When RD was at the helm the bank led its peers in every important metric that analysts use to evaluate regional bank performance (ROE, ROAA, Efficiency Ratio, etc). Those days are long gone. It is shocking that AC and his goon squad exec leadership team have not been held accountable to the demonstrable lack of performance under their leadership. They had to buy UB to post growth since they have not been able to grow organically in critical markets like CA. USB is a joke and shareholders should wake up and replace this abysmal management team.

USB stock is down 64% vs the SP500 for a 5 year view. Yes, that is almost 2/3.

Look it up. SP500 is up 40% while USB is down 24%.

That is HORRIBLE performance by Cerere! LOLOLOLOL

Wait it is almost like USB is set up for a hostile stock takeover.

One month until the next quarterly report.
