A friend of mine out West was asked by his management if he would be interested in a package. Anyone heard of anything similar happening this week? If something is coming it's probably early so thinking maybe April?

I personally know 2 people who already received their letters this past pay period. One was asked and the other was not….off payroll beginning of April. In the 14 years I am here VZ is very good at calculating how to do these. Both are Managers. It’s a smart business move. If you’re unhappy you have options. But rest assured all the major corporations you see on the news are “right sizing” their business model to adapt to the current business environment. Viz is a business and will also adapt.
I met someone who told me she volunteered to be laid off when asked. So it does happen but not everywhere.
There are always layoffs at Verizon, multiple times per year. One thing you can bet on at Verizon are……layoffs
