I heard they were laying off in the Northeast region.

Every year for seven years straight I've heard people talk about the "mass exodus" after STIP is paid. By now the company should be an empty shell, with nothing but a security guard at the front door. But it's not, and it won't be. The exodus never happens.
Low-level layoffs have been happening continuously since 2016, and will continue. Do you mean something unexpected?
As a proud and highly contributing member of Infrastructure Planning I applaud this comment below. We need more employees like IP: smart, hardworking, efficient and ready to take Enbridge to new heights.
I don’t at all wish that on anyone, but I personally think we could use some to cut some fat. Personal feelings aside, there are some that need to go. I like most people as people, but I’m not here to make friends. I’m here to be efficient, effective, accountable, and quick to decision, and I like to work with people that know their jobs, do it well, and take accountability. If folks aren’t adding value for whatever the reason, they either need to be moved to where they can add value, or if they aren’t capable of adding value, they need to go. Harsh maybe, but my opinion. Dead weight drags everyone down; we’re a business, not an employment program.
Hmmm - without ‘employment programs’ said business do not exist. So go ahead MBA boy - trim that fat.

Lol, I don’t worry as much about layoffs as I do the mass exit that has already started now that STIP has been paid. Those that are good and are frustrated will start to find new jobs (I’ve already heard of some just in the last 10 days since STIP was paid, I expect there will likely be more). Do your job, do it well, and don’t worry about when the next layoff is. And put money in the bank in case, that helps too - I learned that after the first round post merger. I don’t worry so much about a layoff as I do whether I can keep my sanity working for this company as more and more good people leave and there are fewer and fewer left to do the real work.
I've heard no rumors of layoffs.
Which location?
We all agree layoffs are coming, right?
