Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

They just don't get how retail works anymore.

So I've been open for about 3 hours now. We went through our rush, understaffed mind you, and we got a car charger to show for it. They give us ridiculous quotas that makes it hard to stay motivated. The entire rush was people wanting tech support and billing because they don't want to wait an hour on the phone (and half the issues I can't help them with). When will they realize this is our new normal in the store and the DM harassing us about banner pops is not going to help motivate anyone? Sorry d-mb question to ask from this company

Verizon has always done a bad job on communicating to their customers that the store employees are not trained in all aspects of their equipment,emails,3rd party applications etc. However,our customers do remember that 10 yrs ago we had classes for android and iOS,also csr care reps would sit with them for hours “fixing “their email,also free “set up and go” That set a precedent on going to the VZw store for “free”services” This iswere Verizon’s has failed in communication in regard to what services their store staff can perform in 2023. Not too mention a lack of staff, who wants to get abused by customers and mgrs with micromanaging too many metrics

Honestly why even try your just a customer service/ tech support rep now with an extra hourly monthly check . Just go through the rhythm everyday don’t stress on adding a new line

It's always been part of the problem. They come up with stupid ideas and metrics so the stores find a way to circumvent them.. remember when we multiplied from surveys to everyone just avoided opening accounts or making useless orders that could generate surveys. Remember when they were on about touchless so you had everyone using the app. Even further back when they wanted more accessories on each order ATR so people sold bags and foam ear pieces. Willful ignorance or objective stupidity
