They laid off HLA’s that cover branches they’re currently hiring for HLA’s. Very confusing but makes sense if you’re a bank that doesn’t believe in mortgages. It’s too risky..

Not an employee, but here’s some solid general advice. Pay off all short term debt, save more of your paycheck so that you have at least 6mo emergency fund saved up. Drive older cars, don’t buy new because of high interest rates and depreciation in the first few years. Adjust your retirement account investments to safer funds.

In short, live well below your means now so you can control your own destiny.
