There should be at least 10 stores in every district, there is no need for so many and would save so much money for Verizon. They’re are some really good dms and some really bad, and why is nothing ever done to improve the bad ones? Drop the bottom leaders ( the numbers always line up) and give the good ones (the top performers) more territory. I’ve had Dms that have been awesome and positive, but then you have non human dictators that no one wants to work for. Let the good ones motivate more and you’ll see an improvement. The bad ones offer no help to actually improve and work out the real issues. Just constantly insult you and kick you when your are down, but never praise you when you do well. Why don’t the Directors ever inspect their DMs relationships with stores, I feel like leadership just a turns a blind eye and really doesn’t care about what their front line teams go through daily to survive some really bad leadership. Some are great and they tend to be the ones with common sense and in touch with the stores. But then you have the koolaid drinking unrealistic ones that don’t get any of it, ones that couldn’t sell again if they tried.

DMs are not upper management..
Why are you talking about upper management and DMs. DMs are the opposite of upper management. They do rif upper management. Manon was fired. The 3 area presidents were riffed and not replaced. Several of the CVPs have been fired and replaced over the last few years and they eliminated 1 role entirely. Those are upper management riffs.
They did a director rif when they consolidated indirect and direct a couple years ago. DMs were also riffed them. So middle management gets riffed too.
