Anyone heard about the second wave?
Heard departments weren't impacted before can be now.
Has anyone heard who the potential redundancies will effect. I've heard front office will be safe. However after meetings with managers regrading team performance. The outsourced companies have over achieved compared to in-house. Eg concentrix. So they say... However I get the feeling they are preparing us for what's going to happen the end of Janaury and try and put the onus on the teams. Then again it could be just a feeling. It's hard to trust PayPal when they have such a toxic culture.
They re-train ICA for universal agents with no logical reason and ppl are bullied until someone will understand someone creates fictious work for ica
Any news of further layoffs coming?
If this happens employees will go to compliant to hr, think people are extremely upset
Rumours are Q2 so April I would guess
Officially no news of any impact to ica
Talk of re training them as universal agents. Nothing set in concrete yet
Anyone knows any rumours of when turns to grade 18/19 ica?

Don’t trust them
Also as I’m from north getting screwed with a new contract if I do get to stay (I hope not)
Following on from a comment below, is there talk of further redundancies being announced in March? Further on from these today?

Ahhh it’s very exciting!! Wonder what package we’ll get
The calm before the storm, Preparing the plan for Ireland soon as we have bigger legislation that's why Ireland is not impact yet.
No layoff in Ireland. Been 23 days and we haven't heard one single word about it. Nothing at all.
All quiet still in Dundalk site..
They will be saving a chunk in facilities and also I think they have scrapped quite a few product plans which can eat up a lot of budget.
I know there's another big wave coming in March but I have no location details or a specific date, sorry
2 weeks ago, EE in Ireland was officially informed by their management that there would be no further impacts on their department at this time. Later, EE leadership said that they could not give any guarantees, and things could change in a few weeks. No details were given about the other departments.
As per irish legislation on redundancies, they announced redundancies, they must also inform us that they are entering into a period of consultation, which could last 30 days until the termination date. So, since this was not announced and we were not given a list of affected departments and a number of employees that are due to be made redundant, all we can do is wait.
Last year, PayPal saved $900 million dollars in operational costs. Their plan for 2023 was to save $ 1,3 billion dollars. As per information in the article below, the redundancies, which were announced in January 2023, are expected to save $600 million dollars. The question is, were $600 million dollars previously included in their plan to save $ 1,3 billion dollars? Or did they find additional way to save money, and the total amount should be $1,8 billion dollars, so even more redundancies are on the way this year?
