They are looking to get people (all levels) into office. I know of 2 VPs laid off!

I didn't get a RTO Hybrid email. Did everyone get it?
It depends on your role if you can successfully wfh or not. IMO if you are an EE who has to collaborate with a team in the office/lab then you should be in the office at least 3x per week for 7-8 hours each of those 3 days on site.
IMO if you are a Software Engineer writing code unless there is a need for you to come into a site and work with a team then you'll probably be successful WFH.
IMO if you are in Marketing or Sales (Inside/Outside) then you probably never need to be in an office and will always be successfully able to wfh.
The Exec leadership left certain decisions, such as how many days you need to be on site for, to the site leaders for each site which is based mostly on the role of the worker and the business needs.
Of course some managers and their decisions seem to trump that of site leaders but that is a separate story.
The exec team did send out RTO and hybrid plan emails. I found them all to be annoyingly redundant because I like and prefer working on site and not from home.
Moral is low. A forced return, along with the expectation of picking up the work of your peers who have retired or were let go (there will be no backfilling) would have many shopping for new employment. People won’t run for the exits but they won’t be giving extra effort which is needed during challenging times.
No mentions made public. Guess that's how it works now. IDK
The 2 VP’s were laid off specifically because they didn’t or wouldn’t come into the office?
I haven't heard anything and I don't remember the last time I was in.
That is great news! That will lead to higher productivity and better products and more collaboration
Proof? Haven't received anything.
